This is how Windows 8 could have looked like if Microsoft made a seperate edition of Windows 8 for desktops, where you get the new metro theme and still have the start menu: on the left you have a vertical group of live tiles you have recently used and on the right you can navigate to folders. The 'user' icon has been moved to the taskbar (down right), when you click it user options will come up, which include the ability to manage other accounts, swith to another account, change your user picture, and many others.
I really hope some Microsoft officials will have a sneak peak for this awesome concept and make it come through for the upcoming Windows 8 Service Pack 1. I'm pretty sure a lot of windows 7 users will switch to windows 8 if this would be the looks of it.
Although I'm getting used to in having no start button on the desktop, it takes me almost three weeks (w/ bad mouthing) this OS to familiarize the new look and finally I'm loving it. It just takes some practice, but then again, it would be perfect if they will return the start button...
